As I prepare to close out the month of February, it’s time to break away from the NETFLIX binging and get this seed party started. After a few months of life at a slower pace, and the bank accounts dwindling, it’s time to get planning and seeding for the 2019 season! This year at Divisions Cut Flowers, I am excited to add a few new items to our line up of fresh cut flowers and foliage! This year we are trialing several (new to me) items such as cotton, rue, several different grains, and textural accents like “Irish Poets Tassle” (check it out it’s pretty cool) as well as several varieties of ornamental veggies and so much other great stuff,to incorporate into our event and market designs.
Here at Divisions, we are hoping that the old saying of “In like a lion out like a lamb” holds true for the month of March, as the midwest as did much of the U.S. experienced a very unseasonal January and February. But as we usher in the month of Spring, it means sifting potting soil, sorting seeds, and getting back into the swing of things.
I look forward to catching up with you all here and chatting life, flowers, and more.
Until next time,
